I was in Japan back in 1996. Beautiful country full of wonderful people. Now there's something we can do to help from our computer chairs (no kidding!). PATETICO RECORDINGS will be releasing 7 Rock Back for Japan compilation albums featuring new and established shoegaze and bliss rock bands such as SPC ECO, Bliss.City.East, Ceremony, Resplandor, Plumerai, Screen Vinyl Image, Victorie & Hyde, Stellarscope, The Sky Drops, C'est La Mort and so many more. Proceeds will benefit disaster relief in Japan. Apparently there will be digital and (my favorite) physical copies available. These should be out within a few days. Upload Issues

So, a problem I've encountered over the last month is an inexplicable inability to upload the podcast properly to archive.org, who graciously host each episode. Uploading from the KISU station computer seems to work fine while my work and home computers upload only blank space. The punchline of all this is that the podcasts will probably have to be posted on Sundays rather than Thursdays. I don't know if that actually effects anyone, but I thought I'd mention it.

David Lynch has teamed up with Sparklehorse and Danger Mouse to release a 13-track CD and 100pg color photo book entitled Dark Night of the Soul. Due to legal complications, EMI may never release the album. The book may still be purchased here including a custom-made CD-R sans music. Tonight's episode focuses on David Lynch's soundtrack and personal work as well as showcasing five songs from the as-yet unreleased album.
